My name is Klaas Slegt. I was born in Rotterdam(Netherlands) in 1943.

After attending high school I went to College of Education and there I got my degree in 1965.

After my military service I was appointed teacher at a primary school in the south of Rotterdam. Three years later I became principal at a primary school in a borough of Rotterdam called "the Old North".

I started photographing when I was 12.
Did a professional photographing education ("FotoVakschool") when I was 50.

I'm now retired and photography is just a hobby.
